Dalaman vs Antalya Airport for Kalkan: the real arrival cost. Dalaman (DLM) is 120 km from Kalkan; Antalya (AYT) is 210 km. Drive time is 1h45 from Dalaman in normal season and 2h15 at peak, against 3h15 from Antalya and 4h00 at peak - about 3.5 hours more road time round trip via Antalya. Round-trip road cost is GBP 35 from Dalaman (GBP 30 fuel plus GBP 5 in tolls) and GBP 52 from Antalya, which has no tolls at all. For a couple on a 7-day peak-season trip hiring a car, the total airport leg works out at GBP 308 via Dalaman versus GBP 381 via Antalya. Choosing Antalya costs an extra GBP 41 on a 3-day trip, GBP 57 over 5 days, GBP 73 over 7 days, GBP 97 over 10 days and GBP 129 over 14 days. The widely quoted 190-195 km figure for Antalya to Kalkan is wrong: that is the distance to Kas, and Kalkan lies about 25 km further west, so the true figure is 205-210 km. There is no direct bus or shuttle from either airport to Kalkan; via Dalaman it means taxi, coach to Fethiye then a coastal bus, about 340-550 TL per person and at least 3-3.5 hours.
